Indian Men’s Doubles Team Out, Sen Moves Forward, Sindhu Exits All England Championships
At the All England Badminton Championships, Indian players had a mixed bag of results. The top-ranked men’s doubles pair from India, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, lost in the early rounds to players from Indonesia. This was disappointing, especially after their recent win at the French Open.
In the women’s doubles, Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa also lost in a tough match against players from China.
But it’s not all bad news. Lakshya Sen, playing in the men’s singles, did well. He won a tough match against a strong opponent from Denmark and is now in the quarterfinals. He’s set to play against a player from Malaysia in the next round.
However, PV Sindhu, a double Olympic medalist, couldn’t make it past the round. She lost to a player from South Korea who is ranked number one in the world.
Even though there were some losses, the Indian players showed courage and skill on the court. The All England Championships are tough, but our players are giving it their all.
