Indian badminton players participating in the 2024 Olympics in Paris

The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics is scheduled for July 26 near the Seine River. However, a few sports events will start earlier, and badminton tournaments will begin on July 27. Actually, Sindhu has two medals from the Olympics: a bronze in 2020 Tokyo and a silver in Rio in 2016. This time around, she’ll be going for her third medal and aiming to use all of her expertise to defeat some of the world’s top players. Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponappa will compete in the women’s doubles badminton category, making her the sole female athlete representing India.

Men’s singles competitors HS Prannoy and Lakshya Sen will take the court, while men’s doubles competitors Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, ranked third, will compete. The third-ranked team in the world, Satwik-Chirag, is full of expectations and aspires to bring home a medal for the nation.
